etdot Calibrating your monitor (adjusting the proper brightness, contrast, gamma, etc.)Â is crucial in getting the best quality graphics and images/photos, video games, etc.
Getting proper calibration can get complicated but does not have to be. Here and here are a couple sources for easy calibration.
