"We’re still seeing a huge trend toward increased surveillance," said Edgar. We’re seeing huge trends toward increased surveillance all over the place, aren’t we?
Toads are exploading – no one knows why. Scientists only know 2 things about this phenomenon: (1) "The bloated animals suffer for several minutes before they finally die"; and (2) as far as the cause of explosion is concerned, they have "ruled out the possibility that it is a fungus that made its way from South America".
Finally the Feds are pulling their heads out of their asses and rethinking the notion of using RFID passports. Back in October the State Department thought it would be a good idea to store each persons Name, Address, Phone, SS#, etc. on an RFID tag stored in that persons passport. This information would not be encrypted and would be able to be read from anyone with an RFID reader within 30 feet of a passport. Bad idea. Now, thankfully, they are rethinking the entire idea.
